Our annual Sweetheart's Lunch was held at the Village China Wok, St Peters, on 13 Feb.
The lunch was highlighted by good food and even better fellowship. The room was filled with red in honor of St Valentine's Day. 40 teammates accompanied by 24 Sweetheart's attended. Perhaps the highlight of the day was Ron Naumer introducing his new bride, Joanne, to the group. Congratulations Joanne and Ron. May you enjoy a long and happy marriage.

Russ Ramberger survived open heart surgery and was able to join the lunch. Sure good to see you back Russ. Cycling weather is just around the corner.
On a sadder note, Hal Flowers is suffering from congestive heart failure and has been placed on hospice care. Hal's wife Doris and his son and daughter are caring for him at his home. Hal is still his old cheerful self and enjoys calls from his old teammates. Phone 636-532-1065.
Joe Trammel continues suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and was recently placed on hospice care. Keep Joe and Ruth, Hal and Doris in your prayers.

Door prizes are always enjoyed at this lunch because in addition to Beckel's array the ladies bring beautiful handmade gifts. This year was no exception. The gifts included Kay Kempland's handmade purses, Jackie Fletcher's Valentine purse, Marlene Beckel's Valentine candy dishes and Earl Robb's handcrafted cut-glass jewelry boxes. There were 24 winners including Lorraine & Bill Briggs, Marie & Neal Covinsky, Marge and Jack Plamp, and Judy and Jack Plamp husband and wife teams.

Don't forget the Spring Golf Tournament on 21 May at Bear Creek Golf Club in Wentzville. Director Dave Szukalski invites you to get your entries in early. See the tournament news elsewhere on our website for all the info or call Dave at 636-227-5581.

Dave and JoAnn Ott will be hosting the annual Sage's October trip to the YMCA Trout Lodge of the Ozarks near Potosi, MO. This is always a fun-filled three days of relaxation, good food and fellowship. You do not have to be a member of Sage's to attend but reservations should be made early.
