Macs Old Team held their annual "Sweetheart Lunch" on Wed 10 Feb 2010 at the Village China Wok Restaurant in St Peters.
After all the snow and blowing the day before we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day, although still chilly. 42 retirees were accompanied by 26 Sweethearts. With all the red dress in the room love was in the air. Jim Dillon stole the show with his Valentine ensemble and received a small box of chocolates in appreciation. This is a beautiful facility and the staff always treats us royally.

The door prizes were bountiful and beautiful. At this lunch many of the women and a few men bring their handcrafted items to donate as door prizes. Many thanks to all who brought items. There were about 48 prizes in all and 16 couples were winners. Yes there were some golf balls and MDC/BAC trinkets but those went to the men. All in all a great day. Thanks to all who attended.

Several of our retirees and family members are struggling with health problems. Make sure you look in on your friends every chance you get.

Our March lunch will be held at Bandanas BBQ, Hwy K in O'Fallon, on Wed 10 Mar at the usual time of 11:00AM. Hope to see you there. "Smell That Smoke"
